Modern Doll Collectors Convention® 2010
2010 Fashion Doll Runway Ellowyne's Kaleidoscope
Entry Number #7: "Up to the Attic" by Janice Walthers
BIOGRAPHY
I have been a doll collector for about 12 years. I never would sew until I started buying garage sale dolls and I would clean them
up and make little outfits for them. Now I am hooked on doll convention and love entering contests.
Poem: Kaleidoscope
Up to the attic did Ellowyne go
To think of her tale of woe.
Then in the corner, what did she see
A bright shinny object,
Oh what could it be?
Kaleidoscope
Turn me left turn me right
I will change with delight
Around and around I go,
Never knowing what color to show.
Some of my colors are bold,
Some are bright,
I will change for you by day or night.
All I need is a very bright light,
A twist of your hand
And I will change as fast as I can
When you hold me in your hand,
You will become the queen of the land.
There is no need to hurry
For as long as you play with me
There will be no need to worry.
Outfit:
The dress is made of white satin and is fully lined. It has a scoop neck with cap sleeves. All of the beadwork was done by hand and
the pattern came from a web site on my computer. I made Elowyne a crown and bag to go with the dress. Also, see the stained glass
that was made to match the dress.
