Entry Number #9: "Woe-be-gone ball" by Mary Goodreau

BIOGRAPHY

Mary is a pipeline engineer and considered an expert in fluid flow through pipes. She travels the world, training people on operating gas and oil pipelines.  For years, she spent a week in Albuquerque for the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. She originally crewed for friends and later brought her own balloon to fly for the week.  She ballooned all over the US for about 8 years.

Poem
The dancers whirling about the floor
Look like a kaleidoscope.
What is that strange feeling?
Might it be hope?

I was going to stay home
And stare at the wall,
But instead, I am here
At the Woe-Be-Gone Ball!
