others may not get the chance to be, but where some feel most alive and free!

"Paris Café Society" Dinner with Robert Tonner - 7:00 - 8:30 PM
Tonner Doll is proud to introduce the Devereaux sisters, who are making a brief stop
in St. Petersburg before returning to their beloved Paris. These famous socialites, the darlings
of Parisian Café Society, are known for their glamorous (and sometimes scandalous) ways! The
Devereaux sisters are a totally new collection of 16-inch dolls inspired by the decadent, daring 20's.

A Nightgown From a Hankie
To fit eight-inch to ten-inch little girl dolls - 9:00 a.m - Noon
Presenter: Maryanne Oldenburg
Good Morning, Sunshine! Wake up your little one in a darling nightgown or a sophisticated
peignoir that you will create using a vintage lace-edged hankie.
It is simple, it is sweet and she will love you for it!
Everything you will need to complete her gown is included in your kit.
Students should bring: A basic sewing kit.

Enchanted Faerie Fashions:
For seven-inch, ten-inch, eleven-inch or fourteen-inch dolls - 9:00 a.m - Noon
Presenter: Rosemarie Ionker
Join Rosemarie for a creative and unique "start-from-scratch" workshop where you will dress your
favorite seven-to-forteen-inch doll to meet her friends in the enchanted forest of elves and faeries.
Felt will be provided and dresses will be cut out from the pattern given. Outfits and wings will be made
and then decorated with embroidery and felt cut-outs. Let your creativity run wild and create a
felt dress to be worn over the cotton petticoat provided in the kit and already sewn. Extra outfit
kits will be available in the different sizes at the end of the workshop.
Students should bring: Your favorite doll, a basic sewing kit and, if possible, a portable
hairdryer or small iron.

Lips of an Angel
Draft a Sloper and Pattern for Ball-Jointed Dolls - 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Presenter: Kathy Wieland
Does your ball-jointed doll need a wardrobe lift? Join Kathy as she demonstrates how to draft a
basic sloper for your doll. Once transferred to muslin and fitted, she will lead you through drafting
patterns from the muslin sample. This will get you started on your way to patternmaking!
Pattern paper, French curve for dolls, patternmaking guide, muslin, thread and needles will be
supplied. Note: due to the nature of the class, each sloper will be unique.
Students should bring: Clear ruler, tape measure and doll on a stand to work with.

Thursday Seminar
The Real Life Behind the Dolls of Heidi Plusczok - 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Presenter: Heidi Plusczok
Join doll artist Heidi Plusczok as she showcases her last twenty-five years of creating her "Oh,
so popular" dolls!
Featured will be her dolls of today as well as those of yesterday.
Learn all about her company and meet her employees as she allows a peak into the actual production
of the dolls themselves.
Heidi has created a special 10½-inch blonde Mandy in a white linen dress painted with lilac
branches and butterflies, wearing apple green underwear and matching leather shoes. She comes with
a green cotton summer dress with a pink underflounce and a matching white cotton butterfly jacket.
Note:There is no fee to attend this Seminar, but only those attendees with pre-paid tickets will receive
the doll at the Seminar.

about them. You will leave with physical proof of the existence of these little friends and be

"Made in America" with Bella! Productions - 3:00 - 4:30 PM
According to popular legend, Spanish explorer Ponce de León discovered
Florida while searching for the Fountain of Youth. Although Ponce never found it, we Americans
have. As Bella! Production, brings doll making back to the United States, join them in a
celebration of our country's "never grow old" approach to life. The tea features a hand-painted
centerpiece dolls, a studio-made mix-n-match costume souvenir set (fits most fifteen-sixteen-inch fashion dolls,
including, of course, Clea Bella), table goodies and a presentation of the new resin ball-jointed Clea Bella doll
line. But beware, Bogie and Bob's youthful excitement is contagious and you may walk away with your own piece of the
Fountain of Youth... made in America.

"Lissy Dreams of Arabian Nights" with Alexander Doll Company, Inc. - 7:00 - 9:00 PM
Enter into the world of Scheherazade, Genies and Exotic Ladies as Lissy's dream of ageless
wonder in times long ago will take us all into a wonderland of Far Eastern mystique. Alexander
Doll Company, Inc., hosts us for an evening of magic and splendor like seldom seen in the Western World.
There is a special Cisette Companion ($105*, limited to 50) for this event.

Friday Workshops
It's a Wrap
For sixteen-inch and twenty-one-inch to twenty-five-inch dolls - 9:00 a.m. - 12: 00 Noon
Presenter: Marie deSoto
Students will design and create two fashion wraps using cream and/or black fine wool challis "blanks"
provided in the kit.
All supplies and tools such as scissors, needles, thread and fabric adhesive will be available for
use during the workshop. Students will choose from a variety of trims and embellishments including
ribbon, braiding, fringe, feathers, buttons, silk flowers and foliage, jewelry, rhinestone findings
and beads which will be provided to the class as a whole. Students can choose to either sew on decorative
elements or use fast drying fabric adhesive to create their unique designs. No sewing is necessary.

Make a Dress for Your Doll From a Hankie
For a eleven-inch doll - 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Presenter: Sissy Lingle
Join Sissy as she teaches you how to make a pleated dress for your doll using a handkerchief. She
will guide you through the hand-sewing stitches needed to complete your dress. The partially sewn
hankie dress, along with buttons and directions, will be provided.
Students should bring: Your doll, small sharp scissors and a basic sewing kit.

Hush, Little Baby
For seven-inch to fourteen-inch dolls - 4:00 p.m - 5:30 p.m.
Presenter: Kathy Wieland
Is there anything sweeter than a wee bonnet? Kathy will teach the fine art of English Smocking. Ivory
Swiss batiste, French heirloom laces and fine floss will be used to create a tiny treasure for your
doll. Students will learn the basic smocking stitches and how to embroider the most lush bullion
roses and be amazed at how easy this intricate looking needle form is! The kit will be for a small
size (Riley, Ellery, small BJD and others) and large size (Bitty Bethany, Bethany, Creedy and others).
The complete kit, which includes a pre-pleated lace-trimmed bonnet, ribbons, floss, needles, written
directions and smocking plate, will be provided.
Students should bring: Scissors, magnifying glass and basic sewing kit.

Hairy Business with RubyRedGalleria.com - 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Presenter: Team from RubyRedGalleria.com
Join the team from RubyRedGalleria.com as they share their experiences in designing and manufacturing
quality doll wigs, especially their most secretly kept tricks and skills, not just on doll wigs but on various
other quality doll accessories and even complete dolls themselves. They will present an introduction to hair
fiber, mohair and the care of your doll's hair. A demonstration on how to effectively remove a stubbornly glued-on
wig cap and how to replace it with a new wig will be given. Sponsored by Leannie Co., Ltd.
Sculpting 10:30 a.m. - Noon
Presenter: Robert Tonner
Robert Tonner will lead you through the sculpting process, beginning with a piece of clay through all the steps to a finished product.
His presentation will feature information about what tools are used, the process in manufacturing the doll and the end result -
the finished doll itself!
Alexander Doll Company - 85 Years Young: - 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Presenter: Pat Burns
Since the Alexander Doll Company is celebrating its 85th Anniversary this year, Pat will take you
on a journey back in time to view examples of the beautiful dolls produced for over eight decades.
Included will be early cloth, composition and hard plastic models offered in the 1930s, 1940s and
1950s, as well as designs from the 1960s through the current celebratory (commemorative) line. Join
her for an educational as well as entertaining program.

Horsman Ltd. is pleased to bring you Rini, the world's most poseable fashion doll,

Dorinda Balanecki, the principal designer of the Rini line will be the featured speaker.
This presentation will show the inside view on how Rini was created with a sneak peek into the
future of new items, followed by a question and answer with the president of Horsman Ltd. as well as the designer.

"Young at Heart" Luncheon with Maggie Made Dolls - Noon - 2:00 PM
Thoughts of your favorite children's story will always keep you feeling "Forever
Young." Join Maggie Made Dolls for lunch, and find your inner child when Maggie and Tony
Iacono present a program that will take you back to that time of magic and you'll see some of
your favorite storybook characters once again. A fun time will be had by all with a new movie
telling a magical tale and an 8½-inch souvenir storybook souvenir doll to take home.
